Wheatsheaf Trust is a community-based charity working in deprived areas of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. They support disengaged young people from poor, challenging backgrounds, such as growing up in a workless household, children in care or leaving the Care system, as well as disadvantaged unemployed adults.
Wheatsheaf Trust advise and help by providing advice and guidance, mentoring, job skills training, advocacy (to resolve issues such as housing or debt) and direct job brokerage with their network of local employers.
Any money raised through this challenge would go towards purchasing refurbished bikes to provide clients with an alternative form of transport to access opportunities. This allow them to become more independent, and more able to access employment and training opportunities on the Island.
